Been a while

So,
Yes,
It has been a while.
I deleted my Facebook and I just realized..I don't have any sort of website or anything.
I could use this for that!!
Unfortunately no one knows about it yet.

Anyways, I saw Muse. They were amazing. Best concert I've been to hands down.
Silversun Pickups opened for them, which was a big treat. They're not one of my top bands but they're definitely an enjoyable listen for me. Especially live, they were great! I really recommend them for anyone who gets a chance.
Soon they'll be headlining shows instead.

I didn't take any recordings, I was worried my camera would be confiscated as my tiny one is missing the recharging cord and the replacement is big and hard to hide.

As for what's new, I'm going to be in a wedding
That's right, in one.
I will be the ring-bearer!
This will be on May 5th.
Not far, right? Well it was short notice for everyone!
They chose the date because of a song by Blue Rodeo called 5 days in May, which the bride's daughter is performing at the wedding, and I may be assisting with my harmonica.
(It's not in the right key, but I can make it work)
I'm also performing a song or two.
I was suggested 2 songs by the bride's other daughters,
"Tie a Yellow Ribbon 'round the Old Oak Tree" - Tony Orlando and Dawn
and "Green Eyes" - Coldplay.
I learned them both, as well as a third,
"Gringo Like Me" - Peter Tevis.
I must play that one, it's a song from old Spaghetti westerns.
Not that it really suits the wedding.

Also, I am going to look damn good in a tuxedo, so I'll post a picture or two if I get copies.
I leave tomorrow to help with preparations, fitting is on Monday for the tux, and then I've got another day to finish helping prepare!
I think I might help the cook or something, who knows!? I'm not much help with anything.

Au revoir mes amis, je vous aime.

Upcoming plans

So, just in case people start finding this and following it I decided to start talking about things in my life.
I have lots of plans and so little time!
I'm getting ready to apply for a university in Calgary, Alberta, a little late, but better late than never.
My mom always asks me, "Do you even want to go to school?!". It gets to be a bit much when I answer, "Yes..", every day.
She thinks that I'm just doing it because she wants me to.
Anyways, I have to contact the two high schools I went to and get them to mail the university the paperwork and stuff. It's going to be a hassle, but whatever.
I'm not living in Calgary at the moment, but I'll be moving in with a friend. He's going to a different University but apparently is considering switching.
I have other friends in the Calgary area too.
A whole family of awesome people. I'm scheduled to attend a birthday party of their's at the end of the month. It should be fun, everyone likes a different kind of drink so I don't feel out of place just having vodka and not beer(blech).
I've got the present already too! Of course since it's me, I feel like it's not good enough.
After the party I'm off to the Muse concert in Calgary!
If you don't know that band, leave this Blog now.
Just kidding, just look them up later or something.
They're great. I've got a nice camcorder but I need to get a new battery adapter before I go.
That way I can actually use it to record videos and take pictures!
Who knows how things will happen after that. I may or may not stay long after the concert before going back to Edmonton.
I hope things go great!

Currently listening: Excuses - The Morning Benders

Symphony #1 in G major.

I don't know where to begin.
Way to break the ice, eh Alex?
Yes, my name's Alex. I guess you probably don't know. I hope you didn't think it was a couple of music notes though. I've got one of those public profile do-hickeys on the side there. Click that if you are desperate to know a smidgen more about me.
I can't write for long, I've got things to do soon, but I will try to say a few more things.
Lets see. I made this blog not because I have a lot to say that needs to be heard, simply because I don't know when to shut up.
That's right, I just ramble endlessly.
I guess at times this will become pretty opinionated, but I really don't care. That's what opinions are all about!
Freedom of speech, baby. Plus I'm Canadian so I have even more free speech I think!
Not like you Americans can say, "Oh man I hate President Obama for reasons other than his skin colour, he should die!"
You'd probably end up in jail. In fact I'm pretty sure you would.
As for me, everyone hates Stephen Harper.
I don't need to say anything about him.
As for me, I'm a musician.
If you didn't get the hint, you're a dumbass.
I love music too much actually.
FURTHERMORE, I'm very boring.
That's right.
Oh, and I'm fairly not religious. It's not like I don't believe in God or something greater, I just don't know which greater thingy is the right one.
To make things worse, everyone could be Anglican like me and still have different opinions about it. I could talk to one guy who might say that God created the Big Bang and everything that followed,
or I could talk to someone else and he'd say the Big Bang created God, or...something.
I don't know, but hey, if your argument is, "Something had to make the Big Bang happen", then my argument to you is, "Something had to make that thing that made the Big Bang happen".
If that's how you want to look at it, maybe God is just a little kid playing in the Sandbox with his universal toys.
One millennium, Mommy God might say, "Okay God, time to put away your universe.", and we'll all die suddenly. That or he'll leave us out in the rain and the universe sand will turn to universe mud. Gross.
You never know, so if you say you do know, I'm skeptical.
